IMAC software runs on a standard Windows NT PC, and can replace up to 8 alarm, report, event, or console printers in a control room environment. No changes are made to your existing system. You just set up as many windows on the screen as you need, then unplug the cables from your printers and plug them into your PC. (A gender changer is added for a Honeywell printer). Each window acts just like a separate printer, displaying the data as it arrives in real time and logging it to the hard disk. Using the mouse buttons, you can "zoom in" to any window and search back for any data over weeks or months. Data that was previously printed on paper and piled on the floor is transformed into useful information displayed on the screen and logged to the hard drive. Trigger words can be used to highlight important alarms into high, medium and low priority by displaying them in different colors. Combined alarm and report data can be automatically separated and displayed in different windows. Honeywell screen prints are captured correctly and stored in bitmap format for future display or printing. The optional frequency analysis module helps you to analyze alarms by displaying those which have occurred most frequently. Stored alarms and events are scanned, and unique messages are displayed in a graph or table in order of frequency. This is a very powerful tool in optimizing plant performance and reducing the number of aggravation/annoyance alarms. IMAC’s storage capacity is limited only by the size of the PC’s hard disk. As a rule, 40 MB of disk space equates to about 1 box of wide carriage listing paper. So a 2 GB disk could potentially hold the equivalent of up to 50 boxes of paper.
Minimum price includes one server module, one client module, no PC, no additional serial port to expand capacity to more than 2 printers. For specific pricing for your application, please contact us. A demo version is also available. |
