VP-2 Color Video-Printer Interface

The VP-2 is has been out of production since 2007, due to the removal from the market of critical parts.  A certain number of these parts have been placed in stock to support existing users of the product.  Users who depend on the VP-2 for color screen images should contact us if you are in need of repair or spare parts.  If you have a new requirement for color video capture, please contact us, as development of a replacement product is currently under consideration.

Low-Cost Video Copies & Bitmap files
The VP-2 Color Video-Printer Interface captures a screen image from a Honeywell TDC 3000 Universal Station, TDC 2000 Operator Station, or 45000 SEER or PMX station and sends the output to an HP-compatible inkjet or laser printer. Using an industry-standard plain-paper printer gives you low-maintenance, low-cost color copies of your Honeywell video screens. Screen images may also be transferred to a floppy diskette in .BMP format.

Great Color from Standard Printers
The VP-2 will print in color to any Hewlett Packard DeskJet printer, or any other color printer using HP’s PCL3 or PCL5 printer control language, or Adobe's Postscript. You can choose economical color printing on a white background, where white and yellow from the video screen are mapped to more-legible black and orange or brown. Or you can choose true-color printing on a black background, where all colors are the same as the video screen. You can even use the interface with a LaserJet printer as a black-and-white stand-in if your DeskJet printer is needed elsewhere.

Transfer Live Screen Images to a PC
In addition to being printed out to a color printer, images captured in the VP-2 are stored as .BMP files. The last 9 captured images are retained, and may be transferred to a floppy diskette for transfer to a PC. You can now use color screen images to enhance training manuals , presentations, and to share with colleagues though e-mail.

Easy Hookup and Operation
The VP-2 is external to the Universal Station, and requires no software configuration changes to the Universal Station, Operator Station, or SEER/PMX Station. For a Universal Station, it is connected to the video signal between the EPDG I/O card and the monitor using a 9-conductor ribbon cable supplied with the VP-2. For Operator Stations or HPV-2 stations, coax loop-through from the monitor connects the VP-2 to the video signal. Initial adjustment and configuration is done using a four-button keypad and LCD display. In operation, a remote push-button initiates screen capture. To connect the VP-2 to more than one Universal Station, order the VP-2mux.

Warranty: One year - return to factory

To share the VP-2 among up to 6 Universal Stations, order a VP-2-mux along with the VP-2.
